Hello,
I wonder that there is no any Text editor in App Center. It very useful for FTP Explorer when I need to modify some php scripts.
Can you please add any text editor in the App Center?

Re: TXT Editor
I think you would find that WinSCP is going to work out a lot better for you than using everything from within the ADM.
It's free and does SO MUCH more than just text editing or file management.

Re: TXT Editor
But if I want to manage via HTTP(e.g. at the work I don't have open SSH protocol for security reason) WinSCP or Putty can't be used for this method.

Re: TXT Editor
Hi,
As I know, but perhaps I am in error, no direct solution exist ... but as usual with some medium Linux skill it's possible to solve this problem ...
The first possibility if you text file are accessible from the apache web server is to add a text editor as any apache application ... but it's limited ... generally only really good for rich text ...
The second is to use a proxy server and configure (as alias) access to local ssh web terminal (shellinabox, gateone, etc. (APKG)) ... so you can access using web browser your ssh server and do what you want including editor on ALL files (connected as admin or root)
Third you can use a really easy tool named sslh (in Entware APKG) ... sslh is a sort of proxy on port 443 (for ex. but generally open in any firewall for https) ... that can automatically redirect you to ssh , web https, openvpn, etc.
so you use ssh client but through port 443 ... it's always possible for the work admin to identify that trafic is more than in normal use ... but not easy if the number of employes is important ... so the flow large ...
after, other solution more technical exist ... like using http tunnel , openvpn through proxy, or using the putty proxy capabilities ... but all of this require to do test and understand the rule and place of each actors ...
No generic solution ... but searching on the Web can open you lot of doors ...
Philippe.
