I've had my AS6104T for less than a week. I like it - I would even say I love it - BUT it has flaws.
From what I've seen so far, the act of sharing files on a network, the very "heart" of what you expect of a NAS, seems to function flawlessly.
The problems I've had all involve the ASUSTORE Portal, and associated Media Player options.
My first problem: happened when I used keyboard and mouse to navigate to the Youtube option. No problems there - until I tried to leave the app.
Escape key? Ctrl-Q? Alt-F4? Right-click? Nope, none of these worked. The only solution I've found was : download AiRemote to my mobile phone, and press the "Back" button on the app.
My other problems: I'll group these together. At different times, Portal, The Chrome browser, and the Firefox browser... crashed. Each time, I was left with a moving mouse pointer, and a screen that refused to respond.
Each time, the only solution I could find was to reset the NAS. The NAS that doesn't have a reset button. Which, literally, means "turn it off and on again"
As a newcomer, I did a little research before buying. One point that people are divided on is: spin drives down to save power, or leave them running 24/7 to increase reliability? So far, this issue seems irrelevant: every time Portal locks up, you HAVE to stop the machine. There is No Other Reset.
Which brings me to my suggestion.
Somewhere, somehow, there should be a way to reset the web browsers, or the underlying portal. At the more extreme level, there should be some way of invoking a reset without risking a hard drive spin down / spin up fault.
Oh, and a fix of the Portal Youtube app would be nice, too.
Reset button?

Re: Reset button?
Surfing through this forum, I found a thread on the Youtube fault. Went to try some of the option...
For 5 minutes, I had the "loading" clock. In other words, it has locked up. AGAIN.
I took this opportunity to check out the actual NAS functions. sure enough, NAS shares are mounted, I can read & write. I could even access ADM - via web browser.
I also discovered that - IF you re-order the menu items in the Player, it "reboots" to show the new menu. !
So I got Youtube to start, on a second try. Oh, and the Youtube shutdown method suggested in a forum thread was: Alt-F4
Not working for me.

Re: Reset button?
"crashed" is definitely abnormal. And Alt-F4 should be able to quit from Youtube. Did you apply the latest ADM software? If it's the latest one, I think you should send a support request to asustor to check it. https://support.asustor.com/
I'm quite curious about it. Can you share information if you get responses from asustor support?
