Hi,
It would be nice if Asustor add 2-step verification option to login process.
I already use it on my synology Nas.
Recently I bought a AS-602T and I am missing this option.
Thanks

On Synology Nas the 2nd step use the Google Authenticator App.
Other option is Printed codes card.
Thanks

Re: 2-step verification login
Is this added security from within the local network or also through the WAN side for the other NAS manufacturers?
If both, I hope it's optional if/when Asustor implements it.

Re: 2-step verification login
Would be for both, and 2 factor is always optional, but highly recommended. It takes almost no effort to use as you can save devices you always use and not get prompted again. The benefit of 2 factor is you can have an extra layer of security on the admin web login, which is open to the world (Network Defender helps with this a bit too)MikeG.6.5 wrote:Is this added security from within the local network or also through the WAN side for the other NAS manufacturers?

We all think this a good idea. See my post for it too:

According to an Asustor rep. they are working on it.
