Hello all: I'm a soon-to-be new owner of an Asustor AS-5010t.
My NAS will be arriving in 2 days so I have not had any hands-on with it.
I've already installed Asustor Control on my Windows PC in preparation for the NAS.
I've also got 8 Western Digital Red (4TB) drives ready to install. I'm in the tedious process of testing them using Western Digital's Data Lifeguard Tools for Windows, as well.
If there's anything anyone can suggest to ensure there are no unexpected glitches or proceedures I should follow prior to powering up the NAS I'd be very interested in hearing from you.
