Download/Upload internet speed test

I would like to have a Download/Upload internet speed test, similar to speedtest.net which I could also use when connected remotely
Sometimes I am away and want to check if the braodband at home is working fine.
sure it's working since I am able to remotely connect but I also want to know it's working at 100% of it's capability.

Would be better with speedof.me (They use html5, no flash or java)..

Hello Goaharis,

For the download speed you could use Download manager and provide a link to a large file. In the Netherlands there are multiple providers which allow you to download 100MB - 10GB files to test the connection. In activity monitor and download mananger you can check the download speed. It is harder to check the upload speed.
