iSCSI Support for External Devices (Blu-ray)

Been trying to figure out a way to share my external Blu-ray drive over the network via iSCSI. I realize I can access the data on a disc via AFP (I'm on a Mac), but almost all software won't recognize it as a optical drive.

Can it be added as a feature to share external devices connected to my Asustor over the network via iSCSI?
