Yes, HDD surface test is fine but I see logical drive consistency check even more important (as more frequently needed).
I do trust that it should be run whenever there is powerline failure or forced off state ad from time to time too.
I saw it on some NASes from competitors so why not on Asustors ?
It should be a quick win to "link" and ADM button to well formed batch with fsck or e2fsck...

Totaly agree. recently helped a french Asustor Forum member, that had to ssh then run fsck, while absolutly not familiar, to sort out a volume error.
having a GUI to fsck with the main options would be great in the Dr Asustor menu.
