3D movies should work. However it depends on your HDMI receiver device. You can refer to the following discussion.

Not sure if it's compatible to your "oppo 105".

Re: AS-6XXT WITH HDMI1.4 or 2.0
I tried my as-304t that is working. However, I believe it's working on as-6 too. Because I saw 2 separated video on the screen (left side and right side) if I did not enable TV 3D mode.

Anyone tried as-6 with 3D video?

Re: AS-6XXT WITH HDMI1.4 or 2.0
i believe you mean version 1.4a which means AS6xx should handle the switch between 3D or not. I do not think Boxee or XBMC has such kind of support at all, so that makes the applications a problem not the AS-6xx box here.
only a very few media boxes support HDMI protocol 1.4a and sends the 3D signal to your TV, except all 3D blu-ray players too
eGreat R6S is one such box that fully support 1.4a .
So request full 3D support by Boxee or XBMC , before you find the asustor AS6xx supporting it.

Thanks every one.
Just to you know, the protocol HDMI 1.3x don't support 3D just 1.4x for now.
HDMI 2.0 added support to all specifications ULTRA HD...

Ok, you are right from spec point of view. You should mean auto 3D format detection mechanism. That will be very complex. XBMC or Boxee needs to detect if the content is 3D or not. Then, send 3D format to TV. TV, then, detect this 3D format and switch to 3D mode automatically. I believe there should be a long way to go. I can now only find a way to set 3D mode manually on TV with my very limited contents.CFS-AS6XXT wrote:Thanks every one.
