Concerning access control: I would like the oppertunity to could share fx. party under "Music\party" instead of just sharing "music" Else i have to copy some of my music to a new top directory... which is a waste of time...
Im not sure if Im am understanding this request right but you want to amalgamate folder shares. For example, I have shares for Games, Movies and Music, but dont want to map a new drive for each one, I want them accessible under "Public". You can do symbolic links to do this but it would be nice as a feature request to be able to do it from the GUI. You also need to edit the samba config to enable following symlinks:
