I just had this 604T for a day. I am so happy.

On the web interface:

1. When i assign a LUN volume to a target, it does not show the LUN ID. Not a big deal, I just assume that the lun ids will be assigned in order ( 0, 1, 2...) as they appear.

2. in LUN MASKING I cannot cut and past the IQN of the initiator. I do not wish to type it in. Is that because I am using a linux browser? Anyway it would be cool if there was a way to select which IQN names to mask that are already seen by the device.

the lcd screen:

3. how abut a network app to display something on the lcd screen? I could use a utility to send a simple message to the device to display something like "server finished booting" since my linux connected to it has no monitor attached.

I have another suggestion.

Would it be possible to mount a sata disk and not format it, then put it as an iscsi target as a raw device?

There are occasions when I had to put a sata disk on a usb reader or the motherboard to take a look at the contents. It would be nice if i can put it on the asustor and read the disk thru the network. I would still have to screw it to the tray but its better than opening up a computer or mounting it on a usb reader.

For the other great suggestions , Asustor can study them. But for putting messages on LCD, there is similar mechanism in the Settings /hardware /lcd panel
