Hello Alexccy

I am Edric from ASUSTOR. Do you mean that when a user login his/her account how to find his/her own home directory?

If yes, we do support this feature. Basically our NAS is designed that every user can have their home folders for storing their personal data.
After creating an account, the home folder will be created automatically and assigned by the account.
The home folder is belong to the account, which means that only the account user can see his/her home folder.
Also, the folder is hidden from others' viewing.

Therefore, when you use a user account and login to the FTP server, you can go "Home" directory.
And, it is user's home directory.

If not, please elaborate and give us more information about your question.

Hi Edric.

In my opinion, as Admin, must have possibility to view ALL home folder EASY not from ssh console.

It would also be nice if i create a user, i can assign the home folder and lock him inside that folder so i can share particular folders that exist on the server to that user. like sftpd on linux i always thought that was standard for ftp server, till i started using asustor. By the way sofar i am loving my machine 604t

I've just been trying to do this and am rather shocked how over-complicated it is.

I didn't realise the Home folder was for FTP, so I had created an FTP folder with user folders with in it. I got to the point where each user could only access their own folder within the FTP folder.... until i realised that they can all view the root and all other folders which are rather private!

So this "Home" thing... how does is work in the File Explorer?
I'm currently logged into the NAS as Admin and I can see my Home folder... but i want to copy some files from the FTP folder I created to a different Users "Home" folder, but all I can see is my folder!?

I'm supposed to be managing the users folders but I can't see any of them, how does that work?

I've just logged on to a users ftp, created a new folder in Home, gone into File Explorer as Admin and done a search for it... guess what... I can't see it!

Totally mental
