Hi Support:

Please put it in highest priority, i just re-initialize my ADM, after this, my other volume are all inaccessible even the data are all inside with ext4 system, if you mount it to Linux, the data are all there. In synology, if you re-install the OS, then if you plug in the HDD again, the DSM will rebuild the volume automatically with all data inside. I hope it will be supported in the next release of the ADM. Thanks

Hi ASUSTOR Support:

Can you confirm this issue will be resolved in the coming release of ADM2.1? Thanks

Ditto, this would be good. My old NAS ended up with serious issues in the underlying OS (data was fine) but I couldn't factory reset it without loosing data.

This is a very good question
I am very surprised that there is no clear answer to this :o

Imagine an AS-608T full, and, one year later you must return the product under warranty ... and how it passes back into service (home reboot) with your own HD
I'm not sure yet, but the import/export function parameters can resolve all ?)
I'm trying to test this...at this moment (crash-simulation)
Very strange comportment. (wait and see)

Ps
I feel less reassured, this product gives me the feeling of "ill-conceived", not yet finished (ADM) ... a little DIY
As an example, in our Qnap, when I do a total reset, I can later (on a single drive or JBOD) recreate the share by browsing drives / folder (advanced mode) Because all data(also all HD) are always present and available at start up (but only not more shared after total reset)! that is not possible by ADM it's not a "maintenance- friendly" this one I thing (at this time of my know-how (study)):(

Hi Francois, if the NAS must be returned for hardware failure, you only have to take the hard drive out and when the NASis returned from repair, you only need to plug in the original hard drive and it will be same as before. Similar idea that you can refer to : http://www.asustor.com/online/College?lan=en, NAS 343
