Nas timer

Post by koymoy »

I think the on/off timer part of the nas, could use an overhaul - it just seems to clunky and not very sleek. I'm aware that many people have it on 24/7, but i for one think that there are times during the day, where it's not needed. ie. it doesn't always have to be running all night. But thats just me :-)

I do the same. Most of the time, my Nas is idle when I'm working. The function is actually ready, although it took me some time to find it. Go Settings -> Hardware -> Power. There is a function: power scheduling.

Yes, i'm awaew of the function. I just think it's way to cumbersome to do it that way. i think there should be a more sleek and convenient way. ie. an app, from where you could disable the timer or di fast adjustments or in the present function - maybe make a general rule and then the possibility to make this apply to certain weekdays, instead of having to choose on time for ex. sunday - AND then again choose off time for the same day...just my thoughts...it just feel like clicking away in some old excel....;-)
