I read the Raid guide in the http://forum.asustor.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1754 but am still not 100% on RAID options. I am looking at an AS-608T, so can someone clarify please.
Can i have a mix of RAID and non-RAID drives? For example 4 drives in RAID and 4 as normal?
Why you may ask... I have a lot of WD Greens, which are not recommended for RAID, and I can't afford enough WD Reds just yet. So I will work up to it.
Thanks.

Re: RAID & Non-RAID mix in an AS-608T
Hi konkonkaos,
Yes you can have a mix of RAID and non RAID storage volumes. It is definitely possible to have 4 drives in a RAID configuration and the other 4 as normal storage volumes.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thanks,
Allen
