Hello,
Just joined today and like the subject says it all. I installed some NVME SSDs and then to install some aftermarket heatsinks that fit the AS6806T I had to remove the SSD and one of the securing clips immediately broke off. Now I have an SSD that is not secured in it's slot. Can these clips be purchased?
Actually if anyone has a replacement solution that is more robust, like a metal clip I would appreciate information on that.
Best regards,
Victor

The clips aren't the most robust design but there have only been a couple of reports of breakages here. I suggest you raise a support ticket to see what can be done for you.
I'm very interested that you've found heatsinks that fit the AS6806T. Please could you share what they are?

How do I submit a support ticket, is it on the main Asus site, not the forum?
Yes, I was quite disappointed when I purchased four Samsung 990 Pro (w/heatsink) and they could not all be installed.
If you want to retain the original Samsung heatsinks the best you can do is install two NVMEs at a diagonal to each other (slots 1&3 or 2&4).
I have no idea why Asus did this design for the NVME, there is plenty of room.
The heatsinks I used are these, 22x70mm seem to fit perfectly:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/197598752758
Quite a few other options, the magic search term is "NVME Heatsink".
The one issue with these is they rely on the thermal pad to adhesion.
I may install lacing around the heatsink and NVME to provide better contact.
BTW, I set my fan control to max, as the auto setting was not cooling sufficiently.
My NAS is in a closet so I don't mind the fan noise, although the max setting is not very loud.

Thanks, I have submitted a support ticket.
I think the proper solution is to replace the lame plastic clips with metal standoff and screw.
