One touch backup - HDD Docking Compatibility

Hi,

Is it possible that a HDD docking would be made compatible with the front usb?
For example, i would like to backup a lot of different HDD's. With the compatibility of: Startech Unidock3ueu (http://eu.startech.com/HDD/Docking/~UNIDOCK3UEU) This would be very easy.
So is the compatibilty option decided by de HDD model no? or by casing of the HDD?

This option would make my IT job much more easy!

Hi Klaas,

Basically it should work, we also have something similar to this in our lab (not the same brand) and it works fine.
However, the chip in the dock may not recognize all drives, and this is something we cannot help.
