Replace Boxee with XBMC

Post by bruceleeon »

I would like to formally request either the addition of XBMC or the removal and complete replacement of Boxee with XBMC.

Hi bruceleeon,

Thanks for your suggestion. We understand and will definitely work for this.

Even though Boxee Inc. may not update Boxee anymore, it is still a great & "pure" media player, and this is undeniable.
I too like XBMC, but for some reason, it may be a bit too much for ordinary users. Anyhow, the best way is to have both, right?

If both were packaged, that would be an incredible offering. Having the ability to run XBMC for me is almost a must, especially with MYSQL and library sharing features. I can start a movie in one room and finish it in another without having to fiddle around. Add to that constellation for iPAD and you have a pure winner. Now if you could only get support for HDHOMERUN PRIME and a TV application...

just out of curious, why so many ppl like to use xbmc instead of boxee? just because boxee will no longer have any updates?

dunt get me wrong, i like xbmc too and think it's one of the greatest projects ever. but for a media player application, i always think boxee is good enough and is much more simple. 8-)
