I use a NAS at home to support my photography hobby to store and manage photographs. My Netgear started to run really slow and I realized it is no longer supported by Netgear. So I did some research on the various suppliers of NAS systems earlier this summer. At the end of July, I ended up selecting ASUSTOR as the brand I wanted because it had great reviews and fit my needs for storage of my photographs. ASUSTOR also appears to provide great growth capability (additional hard drives, plus M.2 memory, and RAM memory expansion... WOW!). I bought the AS6804T NAS for my home network and installed two WD Red Pros and it is set up as a Raid 1. So far after having it running for 4 days, I have been impressed not only with the system but all the online resources. These resources have been extremely helpful to understand the details and I am thankful. I will be asking questions for sure and hope either the online resources or the community can help teach me.
The ASUSTOR Control Center App is greatly appreciated. The Web navigation page is well done and understandable. I like the App arrangement.
My only suggestion... a page for all the acronyms that are used in the resources (I am not a IT person so a lot of them I do not know). Maybe there is one and I have not found it.

Re: New to ASUSTOR
Welcome aboard. Apart from some of the best hardware, one of Asustor's strong points is the length of time they support older NAS. Even ten-year-old models are still receiving updates to ADM 4.3.
