AS6810T & AS5004U compatibility

Post by SlimTech »

Hi all,

I'm waiting for my new Lockerstor 10 Gen3 AS6810T and I was thinking on getting the XPANSTOR 4 AS5004U to use as backup storage to maximize the storage on the NAS. While I was looking the specs on the website it states that it applies to these models:

Sooo is the AS5004U compatible or not ?!

I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be compatible. It's normal for these lists not to be updated when new models are released.

Papa’s Freezeria: A Whimsical Escape to Sundae Paradise

is a beloved online simulation and time-management game developed by Flipline Studios, first released in 2011. As part of the extensive "Papa’s" game series, which includes pizzerias, burgerias, sushirias, and more, Papa’s Freezeria stands out for its vibrant, fun-filled gameplay centered around creating delicious frozen treats for a parade of quirky customers.

Setting and Story

The game transports players to Calypso Island, a picturesque, sun-soaked island set beside a sparkling blue ocean. You are hired to run the local Freezeria — a gourmet ice cream sundae shop owned by the franchise’s ever-mysterious proprietor, Papa Louie. Expecting a quiet summer job scooping ice cream, you are soon overwhelmed as waves of hungry vacationers pour in, eager to enjoy elaborate frozen creations while basking under colorful beach umbrellas.

Core Gameplay Mechanics

Players take on the role of either Alberto or Penny (or a customizable worker in later versions), managing the Freezeria’s daily operations. The core gameplay involves a continuous cycle of receiving orders, assembling sundaes to precise specifications, blending, topping, and ultimately serving customers — all under the pressure of time and rising expectations.

The workday is split into four main stations:

Order Station:
Here, you greet customers and take their detailed sundae orders. Each customer has unique preferences for base ice cream, mix-ins, syrups, and toppings. Attention to detail is crucial, as accuracy is reflected in their satisfaction scores.

Build Station:
At this station, you select the correct flavor of ice cream and portion it into the cup. You then add the requested mix-ins such as candies, cookies, or fruit. Precision matters; players are scored on how well they match quantities and order requests.

Mix Station:
Next, you blend the ice cream to the customer’s desired consistency — some like it smooth, others prefer a chunkier, barely-mixed treat. Over- or under-mixing will reduce the customer’s rating, so keeping an eye on the mixing meter is essential.

Top Station:
Finally, you add syrups, whipped cream, fruit, candies, chocolate chips, and other decorative toppings based on the original order. A steady hand and a sense of timing help maximize the topping score.

Customers and Challenges

The customers in Papa’s Freezeria are colorful and memorable, from regulars with predictable preferences to food critics and holiday visitors with extravagant tastes. Each customer type has a different patience level and tipping pattern, rewarding you for both speed and accuracy. As you progress through the game, you encounter “Closer” customers who have extremely high standards and are difficult to please, putting your sundae-making skills to the ultimate test.

Holiday and seasonal events introduce limited-time ingredients, themed customers, and bonus challenges, keeping gameplay fresh and encouraging players to log in frequently.

Upgrades, Customization, and Progression

As you earn tips and points, you can invest in upgrades for the shop — like faster blenders, automatic topping dispensers, or stylish furniture that entertains waiting customers. These improvements not only make your job more efficient but also contribute to higher customer satisfaction, translating into better tips and scores.

The game also features unlockable outfits and costumes for your character, collectible customer stickers, and the ability to decorate the lobby with a wide variety of themed items. This provides a satisfying sense of progression and personalization, motivating players to “level up” their shop and achieve the highest star ratings.

Visuals, Audio, and Atmosphere

Papa’s Freezeria boasts a cheerful, cartoon-inspired art style. The game uses bright colors, expressive animations, and lively backgrounds to evoke the breezy feel of a tropical getaway. The upbeat background music and whimsical sound effects, like the whir of the blenders or the soft chime when a happy customer leaves a tip, complete the atmosphere.

Accessibility and Audience

One of the reasons for Papa’s Freezeria’s widespread appeal is its accessibility. The controls are simple and intuitive, usually involving only a mouse or basic touchscreen gestures. This allows both children and adults to enjoy fast-paced, rewarding gameplay without the need for complex controls or steep learning curves. The game is commonly played on browsers via Flash, though later versions and mobile adaptations ensure it remains available after Flash’s discontinuation.
