The title says it all, iow when can we expect to see full USB4 support for the Flashstor Gen 2?
The homepage for the FS6812X says: "The Flashstor Gen2 is equipped with two high-speed USB4 ports, offering ultra-fast speeds of up to 40 Gbps." and in small letters below comes this: "* The Lockerstor Gen3 and Flashstor Gen2 series are based on AMD's current USB4 driver. AMD USB4 at the moment only supports external storage devices and direct connection between another Lockerstor Gen3 or Flashstor Gen2 series NAS.". So today the FS6812X does NOT actually offer ultra-fast speeds of up to 40 Gbps. Misleading marketing there.
Today we get an Open source driver, version 0.3.0.0 of the USB driver with the following message in Windows Task Manager:
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)".
So today one will not be able to connect to USB4/Thunderbolt 3/4 with the Flashstore Gen 2. External devices connected to either one of the tow USB4 ports don´t work either though it is expected to work: "...AMD USB4 at the moment only supports external storage devices..."
When can buyers expect to see full USB4 support for the Flashstor Gen 2?
