【Newsletter#232】Seamlessly Transfer Google Photos to Your ASUSTOR NAS

Post by Crystal.Y@AST »

Since the end of unlimited free storage space on Google Photos, Google Photos now only offers 15 GB of storage for free. As your collection of photos and videos continues to grow, the 15 GB of storage quickly becomes insufficient. Instead of paying for more storage every month, why not transfer your photos to an ASUSTOR NAS? In the long run, it saves money and offers better security. Here are two steps to help you get started with an ASUSTOR NAS as an alternative to Google Photos:

Step 1: Use Google Takeout to Export Photos from Google Photos
Google Takeout allows you to package photos from Google Photos into a single archive file, organized by album in folders. Once extracted, the photos can be uploaded to your ASUSTOR NAS and stored in shared folders as needed. Manage photos easily through File Explorer to complete the backup process effortlessly.

Step 2: Manage Google Photos with ASUSTOR NAS
After importing your photos into the NAS, manage them using ASUSTOR’s photo management system, Photo Gallery 3 as well as AiFoto 3 for phones. First, enter Photo Gallery 3 and set the folder where your photos are stored to allow you to import all photos into Photo Gallery 3 at once. You can then use AiFoto 3 on your mobile device to manage and browse photos, accessing them anytime and anywhere.
