working with NFS on an Asustor NAS from both Mac and PC

Good morning,

I’m seeking a solution for using NFS on an Asustor NAS with both Mac and PC. The main issue is with permissions—different users on each system cause conflicts, so when I switch between devices, I can’t make changes without manually adjusting permissions. I’ve already tried various configurations like squashing, but nothing has worked. I prefer NFS to SMB, as I’ve encountered other issues with SMB, and want to maintain consistency.

Any advice would be appreciated!
