I was wondering if it would be at all possible to automatically create a user personal folder/share upon creation of a new user. Essentially, something like a default USERS share that would create the individual users personal folder under the share (eg. USERS\User Name). It would also be nice if the access rights for that fold would default to only allow that user to see as well.
Yes, each user on NAS has it's own folder which can only be accessed by that user.
When you create a user, system will automatic create a personal folder under "volume1/home/username".
User can access the folder by File Explorer of ADM webpage, or connect via SAMBA/AFP.
Cheers,

Excellent, thank you for your quick response. However, is there a way of mapping this share as a Network drive in Windows? If not, it's not going to work for my purposes. I've tried a few different ways, I can see the "Home" folder in windows, but I am unable to access it.
Thanks you.

I create new user but no folder under Home is created for me. And home is also not accesible for me from other computer. If I create some folder manually its also not accesible. I just want to have personal share on my NAS that will be protected by my password and will corresponding to my Windows login name and password like it was on my old NAS machine.
I guess there's a misunderstanding here. General speaking, once a new user is created, the system will create a personal home folder (not shared folder) for him automatically.
You should see all your shared folders like the attached screenshot, and there's only one "Home" shared folder. Once you click on "Home", you will be asking to enter your username and password. And then this home folder will be redirected to the login user's home folder.
In other words, the "Home" shared folder you see is more like an entrance, it all depends on which user account you use to login in, and then it will switch to the user's personal home directory. Besides, you can definitely use the same login name and password on both your Windows PC and NAS. If you still have problems regarding this, please feel free to let me know, we can arrange a quick remote desktop session and I will be willing to help you out.

Thanks for reply. When I try access this Home folder Windows tell me that its not accessible. It even doesnt ask me for credentials. Its weird. All other folders i created are accessible easilly.

I'm thought I was seeing the same behaviour with Windows 8 but it appears that the personal folder mapped to Home was just taking a long time to be created.
This does lead me to another question though... as an administrative user or as the admin account is there any way of getting to the data held in another user's personal folder short of logging in as them?
Basically, there's no way to access the others' personal home folders via GUI. So far the only way is using the CLI (command line interface) via SSH to access it. And if you are not familiar with CLI, I suggest you can use SFTP, many popular FTP applications support SFTP, such as File Zilla (https://filezilla-project.org/), or you may wanna take a look at WinSCP (http://winscp.net/eng/index.php).
