AS6706T Expansion Question

Post by Roto »

Sorry for the stupid question, but I'm looking at possibly getting either the AS6706T or the AS6704T. If I were to get the AS6706T would I need to fill every bay immediately, or would it be possible to only fill 4/6 bays and expand later on?

The good news is that it'll work perfectly with just one bay filled and it doesn't matter if it's 3.5"/2.5" or M.2.

No need to worry, it's not a stupid question! If you get the AS6706T, you don’t have to fill all the bays immediately. You can start with just 4 out of the 6 bays and expand later as needed. This flexibility allows you to upgrade your storage capacity over time, depending on your requirements and budget.
