Hi,
I think I messed something up in a config or with an app because my system is not as stable as it used to be.
My installation of Plex will just stop working randomly and I have to log into the box and stop and restart the service. This lasts for maybe a day before I have to do it again.
I am sure it is 100% something I did and it has nothing to do with the app or anything else.
How can I reset my AS5304T without losing data? All the resets I have found say that I will also loose all my data and wipe the drives etc.
I don't have anywhere to backup the amount of data so I am a bit perplexed as to what to do.
Is there a way to reset the box to factory settings without losing data?
Is there a way to remove apps in a more complete way that just using the Uninstall in App Central? I am thinking there may be something residual from other apps I may have installed and removed.
I know I am grasping at straws, but I'd like to know if I have any options other than a complete wipe?
Thanks!
D

Re: How to do soft reset?
The only factory reset is to reinitialize your disks, this means starting from scratch. If you only mess with the apps, reinstalling them will clear even its config if it's located on the same path as the app.
I'm no longer using Plex for quite some time but I've seen such similar reports. You should instead gather the Plex logs and ask in their official forum.
