New to Asustor and 1st NAS

Hello,

I am new to Asustor and my 1st NAS which is an Asustor Lockerstor 4 AS6604T. My plans are to migrate iCloud photos from my many Apple devices plus other digital photos from my cameras to this NAS and still be able to view the photos with the iPhones used by family members.

Mainly I am looking for some steps or guidelines on how to correctly move my iCloud photos to this NAS and still be able to easily manage and organize them.

I have read many articles and watched some YouTube videos about moving the Photos Library from a MAC desktop to the NAS and I have read some entries in this forum about not doing this because it causes problems and does not always work. Now I am confused.

Any help about migrating all of my photos to this NAS for easy management would greatly be appreciated.

I think you can map NAS shared folders to network drives on PC / MAC. Then use this PC / MAC to download iCloud photos to those network drives.
