Duplicate picture app

I know that there isn't an existing app but is there any plan for some form of duplicate picture finder and eliminator (perhaps call it Dupe Terminator)?

I've noticed a crazy amount of duplication for someone I recently set up a NAS for. Multiple phone backups without filtering out duplicates creates a lot of wasted space.
