Users who use VPN services like PIA (Private Internet Access) have to deal with a shared IP, or regional IP, making remote access impossible while the NAS is connected to the VPN. It seems that the current functionality does not allow the ability to pick and choose which apps use the VPN service. It's an all or nothing switch.
If users were able to configure which apps used VPN services than remote access might be feasible with the VPN connection still intact.
EG: user wants their Download Center securely and privately through a VPN, like Private Internet Access, but also wants the ability to manage said torrents remotely, through the mobile apps.

Hi
You can use VPN service on pc connect to your NAS (installed VPN server).
If bittorrent server support VPN service, it can work. But cos is network performance is no good.

Re: Download Center VPN
And also ability to use key files as password as many VPN services will not work with just username and password. PIA works but will not let you open ports on the VPN not running the windows client.
