I don't think Asustor was exhibiting the final version of ADM 2.2, I assume that they're still working on it. AFAIK no release schedule yet.

I read on Facebook that photo gallery app would be in beta in 2-3 weeks so I assume that this means 2.2 will be in beta also around that time

They are working probably hard on the new hardware they are releasing @ Computex 2014
There is also a notice on those articles that they will release/show off ADM 2.2 at that show.
Computex is held in Taiwan from 3 to 7 June.
It's still kinda a long wait, but maybe they will release a beta version to us first.
