Re: SVN SERVER
But why would anyone want to use SVN when they can use Git ?
Seriously, there might be a learning curve, but this is worth it. Once you got it, you'll never go back.

Re: SVN SERVER
Git has no documentation no tutorial and is no functionning.
If you know how to ? Please let met know.
And don't forget we can't go through ssh (only admin and root), so it must implements WebDA or something else to access.
So they put git but no one succeed ?

Git is not the monster you make it out to be. Git has vast amounts of documentation and if you're interested in learning it there are many blog posts explaining how it can be used to perform regular tasks.salsalito wrote:Git has no documentation no tutorial and is no functionning.

Also, git can be set up over HTTP(s) and / or WebDAV if you so please. Here's a blog post explaining how to set it up on Ubuntu 12.04. With a little command-line fu you should be able to set it up on your NAS right now
Personally I favor git as it is much more flexible than SVN. I have nothing against SVN functionality on ADM, I just don't think it is something Asustor should prioritize at this moment. I don't think SVN as a 3rd party app should be too complex, but it will require that someone is interested to pick it up.
