Two part question
I currently have an AS-606T and love it. Now for the questions
1. Is it possible to connect the AS-606T to another NAS (differnt maker)?
2. Is it possible to connect the AS-606T to another Asustor NAS?
Thank you

Re: NAS to NAS
Thank you for replying ho66es
More along the lines as using the second box as just that and using the drives for expansion. I noticed when I connected them via eSATA neither of the drives saw the other one.

Re: NAS to NAS
Hi Clowner,
I am Edric in technical support enginner position in ASUSTOR.
The eSATA port on AS-6 series do support eSATA devices and do not support eSATA drive mode.
Therefore, when you connect an eSATA cable between the two, you are not able to see each other.
Thank you for your understanding.
Regards,
Edric

Edric,
Thank you for replying, this brings up a great question then, if I wanted to add expansion drives via eternal hard drive enclosure, how would I go about doing that?
Thank you

Re: NAS to NAS
What Edric is saying is that it is an inbound connection on the NAS. You could connected eSATA drives to it for additional storage. You cannot connect the NAS via eSATA to a PC and use the NAS directly as an eSATA storage device.
