The lights are on, but nobody's home. Help?

I've got an as1004t v2, that I've had for ages, with three out of four drive bays filled. Last night I grabbed an old external HDD that I never use, identified it's the same capacity as the drives in my RAID5, extracted it from its external housing, powered off the NAS and installed it.

The NAS refuses to show up again on the network, or make its "I've booted up!" beep, but its fan is going and the lights are flickering on the ethernet port.

So, after letting it sit for a few hours, I powered off the NAS and removed the drive, then powered it back on. Still nothing - the lights are on, but nobody's home. I logged in to my router, and confirmed that the only thing showing up on the wired connections is my desktop.

I've left it running overnight, with only the three original drives connected, just in case. The router still says it's not there.

Am I screwed? Is it time to buy a new NAS?

I've just tried taking all the drives out. Nada.

Actually, the fan isn't even going.

Contact technical support at https://member.asustor.com. Yes, the power button is on the back on this model, I believe.
