Newbie on Asustor 10T, thanks in advance

I've got a 10T and only installed 2 drives as RAID5. If I add a 3rd of more drives, and expand the size, will I need to backup, reformat and then restore? Thank you much in advance helping this newbie

There's no such model as the 10T; please be more precise about what you have.
Similarly, RAID5 needs a minimum of three drives; you can only have RAID1, RAID0 or JBOD on two drives.
Generally speaking it's possible to grow most RAIDs by adding drives except RAID0 and JBOD although having a backup available in case things go wrong is always wise. This Asustor College module tells you all about it:

Hi,
[EDIT] response write and send when a response with same web target was provide ... sorry

As I know, Raid5 start with a minimum of 3 disks (or partitions) ??? with 2 it's Raid1
... from Raid1 you can migrate (Asustor doc. and college) to Raid5 by adding one disk without loosing your data ...
