I was debating between AS-202TE and DS213. Obviously, I purchased the former due to these reasons; better pricing, hardware specs & hdmi (coz my router is sitting next to my tv, likely my nas will sit beside it too). Only thing that was pulling me back to synology was the number of users, support & the mobile apps that they have. But then i beleive that asustor sure will grow too.
I'm still in the process of setup my NAS and i encounter prob accessing it thru cloud. I was able to get it working once but somehow it is now now. Not sure what i have changed that have impacted it. I know this is not the proper forum but I hope someone can help me out.
Port fwding (8000 & 8001) is already enabled in my router and pointing to my nas ip.
Cloud Connect enabled (under settings) & Cloud ID created
Under EZ-Router, ADM Web service ports 8000 & 8001 all have green check mark. TCP protocol.
DDNS enabled; using Asustor provider.
Ping test from http://www.myasustor.com also looks good but when I connect via http://mycloudid.myasustor.com:8000/ i get time out.

Re: Greetings from Singapore! I'm a new AS-202TE user.
Some update.
At DDNS tab Network Status,
Last DDNS Update: Failure (RC_IP_RECV_ERROR).
Last Checking IP is blank.
Test at www.myasustor.com still successful (green check mark).

I'm using a DLINK DVG-N5402SP router.

Do you test your xxx.myasustor.com in LAN? There might be router loop back issue.
