I have been running an AS1004T for almost six years now. It has survived several drive replacements and the ransomware attack. While it seems to be functioning normally, I wonder if anyone has had any experience with the expected lifetime of the box. I could probably use more speed, but it isn't critical. I would want to upgrade before the NAS fails, since the 1004T has been discontinued and only limited support is available. Anyone have any experiences that they could share?
Thanks.

Re: as1004t life expectancy
I also run at AS1004T (4.0.6.RNS1) and I consider baying me a new one with better speed. As you say, there is almost no support and now the Apache Http Server and Photo Gallery 3 refuse to update for me. In conclusion of this, I use it just like an extra storing place.
I'm a complete beginner on an AS1004T with four hard drives, 4×3 TB.
So far, I always need help with this thing.
My native language is Swedish, but I handle English fairly well.
