Hi All,
I am interested in purchasing this product 'Asustor Nimbustor 4 AS5304T NAS Bureau Ethernet/LAN Noir J4105' but do note that it was released May 2019, which is now over 4-years ago.
How can I be sure that this unit will still receive full support, including device, security and software updates for many years to come?
Also, will this come available to have the very latest ADM version on/in it?
I had a 4TB Western Digital MyCloud device, and within just 2 short years from buying it new, they pulled all support including security updates and it essentially became a brick - I cannot take that risk again but money is very tight indeed. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best Regards,
Is the Asustor Nimbustor 4 AS5304T NAS Bureau Ethernet/LAN Noir J4105 STILL FULLY SUPPORTED?

https://www.asustor.com/en/product/status, scroll to the model for status, then read the details at the bottom of the page.
I'm using the AS5304T and it has been receiving recent updates till now. I think you should have no issue even when the software support ended because you can always simply mod the NAS to run other OS. That said, as you've known this is a 2019 model, you ought to know there's a recent one with better CPU and NVMe support, AS5404T (though I can't confirm if it can run with 16GB RAM like the AS5304T did which is supposed to be only max 8GB). But I have still not upgraded because the AS5304T actual exceeds my expectations, I don't need NVMes on a 2.5G network and the CPU is still good to accomplish my tasks like backups, compile stuffs and run containers/VMs. Also I have Ubuntu Desktop on LXC (still on ADM OS) connected to my living room TV for stream gaming, multimedia and web surfing.

Sorry this is very late but I only just spotted it. The AS5404T has the same CPU as the AS670x range. This officially supports 16GB but will go to 32GB. I have 24GB rather than 32GB in my AS6706T as the standard 8GB SODIMM is inaccessible without dismantling most of the chassis.
