Replacing Download Centers front end

I have been having Issues with Download Centers handling of rss feeds and its remote client under windows

fix 1:

install Transmission remote (i am sure there are similar clients for other os's).

fix 2:

install TorrentwatchX

both require a bit of thought to get running but nothing overly complex if you are happy tinkering in a linux shell for the 2nd.
