Is it possible to use 2x WD "My Book Essential" 3TB drives as external backup for the above unit, and cycle the backup drives weekly without needing to make changes on the unit?
Also, are the above WD drives working with the unit?
At one of our locations, we keep a backup offsite, so we'd need to swap the backup drive weekly.

Re: Backups 604T / Supported Drives
Hi nitra,
We have not tested those exact drives, but I think they should work fine.
For your purposes, I would suggest using the One-Touch-Backup function on our NAS. You would only need to configure this function once. Afterwards, you can connect any USB device to the USB port on the front of the NAS and then press the One-Touch-Backup button to have your backup job executed. Using this method, you would be able to cycle between as many external devices as you like.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thanks,
Allen
