Backup / MyArchive Questions

After some time messing around looking for a NAS/Backup Solution. Now I want to buy an Asustor 4bay NAS. I think AS6704T would be a good choice.

But first I have some questions:

• Backup Format is sth like tar , iso or proprietary ASUSTOR or File-By-File ? Where I can select backup Format ?
• Are Backups compressable ?
• Can I read backups to NTFS-Formatted USB (external backups) from Windows native ?
• Is any difference of backup format between "Intern" or "Extern" Backup ?
• MyArchive can be formatted with NTFS. What will I see if I read MyArchive-HD direct from my Windows PC ? Readable Content ? (Files ?) Modifyable ?
