Serve as a USB drive?
I have a network player that basically only gets data through its USB from a connected USB storage and reads data from it. I understand that NAS like QNAP allow using QNAP as a single USB storage available via USB to other devices. Is there such option with Asustor devices so that apart from all nice feature NAS could be used as a sort of external USB-connected HDD? Any third-party programs allowing it if no capabilities provided by Asustor?

I do not remember there is such function from Qnap or others. NAS normally can connect with external USB drives but can not work as a USB drive itself. Can you kindly let me which model of Qnap has such function?

Hi almaz,
Sorry, our NAS is unable to act as a USB drive. It is primarily a network storage device.
Thanks,
Allen
