Squeezeplug

Post by koymoy »

Hi,

have a suggestion for the tech-savvy - http://www.squeezeplug.eu/

I've used this on my Rpi until know - but i was hoping that i could use the 302-t in a similar way. it is possible to use the itunes server, but sadly its painfully slow, and the app for android is very unstable. SO, my question is - since the link provided is for linux, i thought that maybe it would be possible to port it to the 302-t? If anyone hasn't tried this on Rpi, then do it works very well.

the reason, for my wish is that i don't need to stream to other units, tahn my local devices (mediaserver service and player on same device --> amp, and remote on my smartphone.

Hope this is possible :-)

Hi,

I used the squeezeplug, and installed (if i remember correctly:-) a player (squeezelite player, i think) alongside the server.

i have this link:

So, no - did not stream TO my android device, but controlled it via the phone. I think this, could be fairly lightweight, as it ran very well and snappy on the pi.

Hope its answer enough :)
