Hi
I just change my network setup with a new router and now EZ-router is not working properly anymore as I get a double NAT configuration (I can't override this, as I can't disable NAT on my (shitty) modem, but I setup a DMZ to my router so the double NAT is not really a problem).
What would be cool, is that in this specific setup EZ-router display a warning saying that he can't open any port (or that it might not work correctly) but it should at least give the of list the port used by the app on my NAS so I can know which one I need to open manually on my router.
PS: EZ-router kind of still works with the ports that I setup before my new setup as they are automatically open through the UPnP of my new router.

Re: Manual EZ-router
I do manual port forwards on the router for all of the ports I want access to through the internet side of things. Then EZ Router doesn't need to work, as those ports are always open.
Your NAS, in effect, is a server. So treating it as one, by opening ports, is the only sure fire way to always have access to those apps. You can use other port numbers for apps, such as 421 for ftp, by doing 421 outside bound to 21 inside to IP of the NAS. This works very well. (This is just an example, it works for every app I've set up through manual port forwards.)
