4K (ultra) HD video playback

Is it possible to play upcomming ultra HD resolution videos through HDMI on NAS?

I would doubt the atom and its gpu had enough fire-power to do this - but there won't be much 4k materiel around for 5+ years at a guess - and your amp/tv/projector would do the upscaling using specialised hardware.

Thanks, I have thouthg the same thing. Anyway I like idea that NASes can not only store but also play multimedia and browse internet. Some TVs dont support all formats and have problems playing some stuff. So this is really good feature that allows use NASes for much more practical and usuful things. I hope more will come
