New upgrades for LooksGood and AiVideos. All ASUSTOR NAS users using ADM version 2.6 and up will be able to upgrade to the newest versions of LooksGood and AiVideos to enjoy more powerful video playback experience no matter if they are using a Web browser or mobile device.
LooksGood is ASUSTOR NAS’s Web browser based multimedia App that provide users with centralized management and playback of all videos on their NAS along with integration of digital TV dongles for viewing and recording digital TV programs. This new upgrade provides comprehensive support for Windows Edge, Chrome, Firefox and Safari (Mac) Web browsers. With regards to 3, 31, 32, 50, 51, 61, 62, 70 series models, real-time transcoding and video seeking has been added allowing users to flexibly choose the most suitable video resolution and experience smooth playback at any time.
AiVideos is LooksGood’s corresponding mobile app. The new update provides a fresh new interface for both iOS and Android, allowing users to remotely access and play video files from their NAS. The new version of AiVideos also supports streaming to Chromecast and Apple TV (via AirPlay mirroring) in order to easily share videos to big screens. Furthermore, the Hyper-Transcoding function has been added along with more comprehensive support for iOS including TV recordings, movie downloads, passcode locking and Touch ID unlocking.
