Hi Vincent,
you got me
I went through step by step and can verify that emptying the #Recycle bin also deletes obsolete empty folders.
However, I checked my other #Recycle bins and found the annoyance that caused me to start this thread and that I didn't and still do not understand:
- I have empty folders within #Recycle
- When I delete files within the corresponding share folders the deleted files do not show up in #Recycle: The empty folders continue to stay empty!
- When I delete the empty folders in Recycle (and confirm the dialog if I really want to delete the folder) then the folders show the so far missing files that were deleted (I have done this twice!).
Assumption: For empty folders in #Recycle there seem to be "folder siblings with the same name" in the background that contain the deleted files. Those "folder siblings with the same name" appear after deleting the empty folders in #Recycle. Maybe some kind of "left over" from a previous release...? If so then for me no actions need to be done because now I know that deleting empty folders in #Recycle will do the trick. The important thing is that now the #Recycle bin also deletes obsolete empty folders - and this I confirm is the case with ADM 2.5.1.RB62.
