The OP is asking for someone to step up to do this, or to have Asustor actually do it themselves, because they either don't have the time themselves OR because they lack the skills. I wondered how long it would take for you to show up, crazynas...crazynas wrote:Maybe you can developer it. ASUSTOR provide developer corner http://developer.asustor.com/
To the OP: Some apps can be effectively sideloaded by doing a manual install from App Central. You might not want to try this yourself, though, without a very good back up of the data on your system. If you are semi-versant with Linux, you could also try doing this through Terminal or PuTTY from WinSCP or equivalent. Again, BACK UP!
If you do somehow screw up the NAS, the only way to get it functional might be doing a reset. Any data you have on those disks will be lost if you have to reset.
One word of note here, though... Arias might be considered by some to the be the best, but there are as many proponents of other torrenting and usenet grabbers as there are people running Linux. (Ok, maybe a bit of an exaggeration..)

Anyway, Aria2 is avaiable in ipkg....
just install ipkg and then:
ipkg install aria2
simple as that.
Code: Select all
aria2 - 1.14.2-1 - A utility for downloading files. The supported protocols are HTTP(S), FTP, BitTorrent (DHT, PEX, MSE/PE), and Metalink.ipkg install aria2
simple as that.

If you own a series 2/3/6 Asustor it's very likely you won't get XBMC 13.x/Kodi.
But easily you'll end buying a kitchen from UK.
