I just received my AS-602T and added two Seagate 5T hard drives. Now the challenge begins. I have read through the College information, many of the postings here and although each piece of knowledge is adding to my understanding, I feel I am still far from properly configuring my new NAS. Talk about the steep learning curve, this is it and so far I have not been able to put the pieces together. I have tried to attack this challenge from different sides, and a little progress is being made ( I hope) but it seems like I am not able to put together the "basics".
I have been able to connect to the internet and update the ADM, so I know at least something is working. One of my issues is how to configure a portion of the drive for my wife and another portion for my files? Another example of my lack of understanding is how do I transfer photos from my laptop into a photo file on the NAS? A follow up to that issues is to figure out how either of us can look at these photos using our Smartphones?
I already talked with DynDNS about setting up a Remote account so we can reach the NAS from anywhere, hopefully sometime next week I'll understand enough to complete that task. A related question is to define what I need to be able to get photos from the NAS using our existing WI-FI system? The NAS is connected to our Netgear Wireless Router via an Ethernet cable, but I am now getting the idea that I need to purchase a WI-FI Dongle for the NAS itself?
I am sure you folks can now see how far I have to go before I even begin to get my wonderful new NAS on-line and configured properly. Hopefully I will be able to ask more questions as I work my way through the Learning curve. Some of the comments that I've read about how 'easy' it is to set up one of these things seems to be predicated on an assumption that people trying to do this have an IT background - which I obviously do NOT.
Thank you for letting me join your forum and I am looking forward to a successful experience.

You can install Photo Gallery App from App Central. After launched this App, you should be able to create albums. You can create your own albums and your wife can create hers. You can then drop your photos (on your laptop or NAS) onto albums.
Oh, before that, you'd, of course, better to setup your account and your wife account correctly (being able to use Photo Gallery). Leave "admin" user for management job only.
You can install AiFoto app to your mobile phone. This app is simply mobile version of Photo Gallery. You can then access your photos anywhere.
Oh, you need to configure "Easy of Access" (ADM's web page -> Settings -> Easy of Access) correctly to be able to access NAS anywhere. This setup depends on your router / bridge device. You can post problems if you encountered.
