We all have our preferences, mine after testing almost every media server is KooRaRoo. It has the best user GUI, breaks out the actors, studios and genres from links with IMDB, Rotten Tomato or TheMovieDB. What I really appreciate is it filters out new additions to my media, and those that I haven't viewed as yet. I have a large video file base with over 5000 to date, KRR breaks these down into manageable file groups for easy on screen access.
I can use it with my new 204TE via computer network as I have in the past with my older NAS. I would like to use it as a standalone app using the HDMI output of the Asustor.
thanks for reading.

Re: KooRaRoo - on ASUSTOR
Mmmh, I can't see how that would happen. KooRaRoo is only available for Windows and there seems to be no source code. And ASUSTOR NAS doesn't run Windows but Linux.
Storage: AS-202T | AS-604T (borrowed)
PC/Laptop: iMac 27" & rMBP 15"
Media Server/Player: Plex on ASUSTOR NAS & Samsung TV

That is too bad for now, sorry I didn't realise the Windows to Linux barrier. That is probably why I find the Windows interface so user friendly.
I made a similar request over at KRR, no replies. Thank you for your quick reply.
