if you use analog settings that explain why you do not have problems. Problems as I understand appear only with digital passthrough to tv (when TV has decoding possiblities) or amplifier

I have no audio/video issues using hdmi audio settings to denon 3311 avr on a 6 series. Plays huge mkv with TrueHD or DTS HD audio just fine.
