Hello Vincent.T,

Good to hear you are working on a replacement. Do you have an indication when the solution will be available?

Best regards,
Kapitein Haak.

That's great news. The only reason I still have Java on any of my computers is because of the NAS's File Manager. Otherwise everything else I need runs HTML 5....

It will be nice to get rid of it for once and for all....

Hi Kapitein Haak,

We will try to implement the solution no late than the end of October.

Hello
I have a connection problem from my job place which may be linked to the use of java at ADM login page ( I'm not sure..) .
See here ( Connection problem to ADM page only from job place ) for more details.

So of course : +1 :D

Are you still scheduled to release this within the next few weeks?

Thanks

...And Subsonic on mine. Getting rid of Java completely as an option isn't therefore something I want to see (Unless Subsonic also moves away from Java - Unlikely). However, the built in file manager has many limitations running via Java, and is at best clunky. I've resorted to Pydio for file management duties if i don't want to SSH in via sftp for whatever reason (like remote access).

So +1 for a file manager update based on HTML5.

Hello Overspeed,

In my experience, Asustor is a bit optimistic about release dates. They tend to take a bit longer, so the end of november might be more realistic. I was hoping the new and improved filemanager would be part of ADM 3.0 (as I understood, lot's of code needed to migrate to HTML5). In case of ADM 3.0 it might even take a bit longer then november ;). I do'nt mind to much about slipping a deadline, as long as the resulting product is much better

Best regards,
Kapitein Haak.

Hello Everyone,

Sorry that the Java replacement schedule is postponed. The migration task is much more complicated than we expected. We are still working on it and hope to implement the improvement in short time. Thanks for your understanding.
